most popular National Parks in the USA plus ride some of the most
spectacular scenic highways in America
SATURDAY - Arrive in Denver and unload. YOUR LODGING IN DENVER ON SATURDAY NIGHT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PACKAGE.
SUNDAY - On Sunday at 12:00PM we start our trip riding from Denver through Rocky Mountain National Park and on to Steamboat Springs Co. a total of 208 miles. The 48-mile stretch of road through RMNP is one of Colorado's most popular routes since it opened in 1938, and it's easy to see why. Traveling this scenic byway the green forests give way to rocky tundra with each passing mile. The road, with 11 miles over 11,000 feet in elevation, holds the honor of America's highest continuous highway.
MONDAY - We will ride 400 miles through the Great Basin and Red Desert of SW Wyoming to Jackson Hole WY. We will travel past the Wind River Range of Bridger Teton National Forest. Jackson WY has a historic downtown, marked by an arch of tangled elk antlers at each corner, the Old West-style boardwalks of downtown hosts the world famous Million Dollar Bar where we will dine that night.
TUESDAY - We will ride to Grand Teton National Park and then on to Yellowstone National Park were we cross the Continental Divide for the 4th time this trip. We will visit Old Faithful and the visitor center. We are likely to see Buffalo, Eagles, and maybe Grizzly. Both of these two parks are truly not to be missed experiences. This day we only cover 153 miles so that you can spend as much time as you want seeing the sights. We spend the night at the northern entrance to Yellowstone in Gardiner MT.
WEDNESDAY - We will leave Gardiner and re-enter Yellowstone NP on our way to Beartooth Scenic Highway with it’s magnificent views. You have read about this scenic trip in HOG magazine and it is truly awesome. We continue to Red Cloud, Montana.
THURSDAY - We will leave Red Cloud and travel to Thermopolis, WY, 170 miles
FRIDAY - We leave Thermopolis to travel another 350 miles to Laramie WY and will pass through Wind River Canyon and the Wind River Indian Reservation and then on south for a very scenic 70 miles of the Medicine Bow National Forest and crossing the Continential Divide for a 5th time.
SATURDAY - On Saturday morning we travel 150 mostly highway miles back to Denver and load up the bikes before flying back home. PLEASE MAKE YOUR FLIGHT RESEVATIONS FROM DENVER FOR THE NIGHT OF THE 8TH SINCE HOTEL LODGING FOR SATURDAY NIGHT IS NOT COVERED IN THE TOUR PACKAGE.
